WASHINGTON D.C./ Jan. 24, 2025/ BPALiveWire/ Today is a day of celebration for life, justice, and freedom. The release of 23 pro-life activists, many of whom are elderly or in fragile health, marks a turning point in our collective fight for the unborn and the sanctity of peaceful protest. Among those freed is Bevelyn Beatty Williams, a devoted wife and mother whose courage I have long admired and written about. Bev’s unwavering faith and commitment to life have inspired countless others, and I rejoice alongside her family and loved ones today. It is heartbreaking that pro-life advocates, including grandparents and pastors, were disproportionately targeted since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, more than 100 pro-life facilities were attacked with little to no accountability.
This moment is a reminder that people of all faiths who understand the value of life will not be silenced. We will continue to stand peacefully for the voiceless, unshaken by threats or intimidation. To every activist who endured persecution, and to every family that stood by them, this victory is yours.
As we celebrate this incredible moment, let it also serve as a call to action. We must keep shining a light in the dark places. Understanding that we are one blood and one human race, to God be the glory for this victory. May we press on, and let our lights shine united and hopeful, knowing that love, truth, and life will ultimately prevail.
