Cynthia D. Blake - A Vital Voice in the Public Square

We are excited to continue our series, Voices in the Public Square. Each week, we highlight the stories and achievements of African-American conservatives who embody a vibrant and diverse bench of leaders ready to serve our nation.

Last week, our inaugural feature was met with tremendous enthusiasm from readers across the country, inspired by our commitment to showcasing the truth: the Black community is not a monolith. This series goes even further to demonstrate that Blacks within the conservative movement are not a monolith. They represent unique experiences, perspectives, and offer a variety contributions to the movement.

If you or someone you know would like to be featured in Voices in the Public Square, please email us at media@BassPublicAffairs.com.

This week we are excited to feature Cynthia D. Blake.

Black.Cynthia D. Blake is a grandmother of six and a mother of two.  For over 30 years, family has motivated her to social action and political engagement. She takes inspiration from the lessons of her mother and father, the late Rev. Col. William W. Blake and Sister Maxine E. Blake.

As the founder and owner of N-Tense Solutions, Blake provides strategic public policy analysis with a focus on community and economic development. Her work spans a wide range of initiatives, including criminal sentencing reform, autism advocacy, and youth development programs.

A lifelong learner, Blake attended Akron Public Schools, Springfield Local Schools, and the University of Akron, where she earned an associate degree in business management. Her professional background includes years of mortgage lending experience with top banking institutions, during which she empowered many families to achieve the American dream of homeownership.

Blake established an endowed scholarship at the University of Akron and serves on the university’s Black Leadership Advisory Committee.

Her civic engagement is extensive. She holds leadership positions with organizations such as the Summit County Republican Party Executive Committee, the Frederick Douglass Foundation of Ohio, the Council of Negro Women, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her work also includes active roles with the Tiretown Golf Executive Committee, the Urban League Guild, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Mary Chapter #47.

One of the most impressive hallmarks of her civic engagement is her dedication to ensuring that African-Americans are engaged in the political process. Using her own resources, she opened up a Black Voices for Trump office in Cleveland.

With a steadfast belief in service, Cynthia’s guiding principle is to serve her community. Her tireless efforts continue to inspire and uplift those around her, making her a vital voice in the public square.
